EEG \r\nEKG: Y \r\nVideo: Y \r\nState: Awake, drowsy and asleep \r\nMachine: Nihon Kohden \r\nLocation: room1 \r\n\r\nEEG type ordered: Routine \r\nLast Seizure: one staring spell at 12:3:14 with no clinical \r\ncorrelation \r\nSkull Surgery: None \r\nHV (if no, why?): No, pt unable \r\nIPS (if no, why?): yes \r\nSpells captured: None \r\nTechnical Limitations: Mvt and EMG artifacts throughout study. \r\n\r\nPHYSICIAN INTERPRETATION\r\n\r\nPatient State: awake\r\nPredominant Background Frequencies:delta\r\nPosterior Dominant Rhythm: absent\r\nAnterior-Posterior Gradient: absent\r\nVoltage:\r\nThe background is largely suppressed, particularly in the \r\nbilateral posterior head regions. There is intermittent delta \r\nactivity seen best in the central vertex and bifrontocentral head \r\nregions. \r\nThere is some reactivity seen. When, for example, she has been \r\nresting comfortably for some time with her eyes open and the \r\npatient's mother comes over to her and shines the flight from a \r\ncell phone in her eyes, the patient moves clinically and on the \r\nEEG the bifrontal delta/theta that had been occurring relatively \r\nconsistently in the bifrontocentral head regions and vertex \r\nabates and there is relative diffuse attenuation with muscle \r\nartifact for several seconds, before the delta activity begins to \r\nrecur and again becomes visible, with overriding muscle artifact. \r\n\r\n\r\nBackground-modifiers: none\r\n\r\nPhotic Stimulation: During IPS, there is onset of apparent \r\nmyogenic artifact in both temporal regions (T5 and T6 when viewed \r\nin average montage) that is time locked to the flashes and is \r\nseen from the 3Hz to 17Hz flash frequencies. There is no clinical \r\nmuscle movement that is appreciable over video. \r\n\r\nHyperventilation:not performed\r\n\r\nSleep: \r\nSleep does not occur. \r\n\r\nFocal Slowing: None\r\n\r\nSporadic Epileptiform Discharges: None\r\n\r\nSeizures: None\r\n \r\nNon-ictal Events: None.\r\n \r\nIMPRESSION\r\nThis is an abnormal 1 hour video EEG recording due to\r\n- a diffusely slow waking background without any normal features \r\nof waking\r\n- amplitude suppression in the posterior head regions\r\n- absence of variability \r\nThere are no epileptiform discharges, patient events, or \r\nseizures. \r\n \r\nCORRELATION\r\nThis recording suggests the presence of a diffuse cerebral \r\ndisturbance, greatest in the posterior head regions. \r\nThere are no seizures or discharges to suggest increased risk for \r\nseizures. \r\nThe study only occurs during clinical waking\r\n\r\nRyan E Gill, MD\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n","contentAsHtml":"","signingInstantTimestamp":"12/12/2025 4:21 PM"},"impression":{"isRTF":false,"hasContent":false,"contentAsString":"","contentAsHtml":"","signingInstantTimestamp":"12/12/2025 4:21 PM"},"combinedRTFNarrativeImpression":{"isRTF":false,"hasContent":false,"contentAsString":"","contentAsHtml":"","signingInstantTimestamp":"12/12/2025 4:21 PM"},"addenda":[],"isFullResultText":false,"transcriptions":[],"ecgDiagnosis":[],"hasStudyContent":true},"shouldHideHistoricalData":true,"resultNote":{"isRTF":false,"hasContent":false,"contentAsString":"","contentAsHtml":"","signingInstantTimestamp":"12/12/2025 4:21 PM"},"hiddenProxies":"","reportDetails":{"isDownloadablePDFReport":false,"reportID":"","openRemotely":false,"reportContext":"","reportVars":{"ordId":"WP-24NQi-2F9W4D1fR6l1-2F7uLDTng-3D-3D-24h-2FxR3I-2BhNB8pUfdUdRTp9wb-2BB4Gz8rHHdl-2FFTwiNnZg-3D","ordDat":"WP-24CQO2wjjEbQ0KVtyQGH3vyw-3D-3D-24C4E1AaSHtEHumLEcyBt7kkXmfnpXx9DdvWD-2F2zGshf8-3D"}},"scans":[],"imageStudies":[],"indicators":[],"geneticProfileLink":"/app/genetic-profile","shareEverywhereLogin":false,"showProviderNotReviewed":false,"providerComments":[],"resultLetter":{"isRTF":false,"hasContent":false,"contentAsString":"","contentAsHtml":"","signingInstantTimestamp":"12/12/2025 4:21 PM"},"warningType":"","warningMessage":"","variants":[],"tooManyVariants":false,"hasComment":false,"hasAllDetails":true,"isAbnormal":false,"baseSingleMessageUrl":"/app/communication-center/conversation?id=","fullMultipleMessagesUrl":"/app/communication-center?filterType=testResults&filterKey=WP-24NQi-2F9W4D1fR6l1-2F7uLDTng-3D-3D-24h-2FxR3I-2BhNB8pUfdUdRTp9wb-2BB4Gz8rHHdl-2FFTwiNnZg-3D","relatedConversationIds":[]}],"orderLimitReached":false,"ordersDeduplicated":false,"isEnhancedAskAQuestionActive":false,"hideEncInfo":false}
