The predominant \r\nactivity is 1-2 cycle per second 25-35 uV, higher in amplitude \r\nover the vertex and lower in the parieto occipital regions. \r\nThere were periods of dyscontinuity and periods of continuous \r\nactivity and a suggestion of reactivity when dad was reading to \r\nher and holding her hand (21:40 hours).\r\n\r\nThere were no episodes of eye opening or jerking of the trunk and \r\nthe high amplitude sharply contoured wave activity were not seen. \r\n\r\n \r\nEVENTS: There were a few push button events related to breathing \r\nmovements, eye lid movement or limb movement that were not \r\nassociated with any changes on EEG.\r\n\r\nEKG: Regular sinus rhythm at a rate of 144 beats per minute.\r\n \r\nIMPRESSION: This EEG is markedly abnormal, as described above, \r\nindicative of a severe, diffuse metabolic encephalopathy.  \r\n\r\nThere is no evidence of epileptiform activity.\r\n \r\nClinical Correlation is advised.\r\n \r\nDavid E.
